I came across this street parade on the way to the boats in Xochimilco and I jumped out of the “pesero” (bus) and followed them around for a few blocks.

There were many floating vendors. There were even floating mariachi! My first time seeing a mariachi with a live vest.

I went to visit my mom in Apatzingan. After a 7 hour bus ride I arrived at 6am in time for sunrise and fresh baked bread.


Here is my mom feeding her chickens..

After breakfast we drove out to see my uncle in the coutry.

I took the metro early at 7am on Tuesday to meet with Ana a Siembra volunteer at the Cuatro Camoinos bus station. From there we took a 2 hour bus to Temoayan to meet with the women that are in the program. We met with about 10 women and the plan was to go visit the
